Monday, November 1, 1982: Up at 8:30. Sunny, frosty. Dressed, called Peggy’s TV. They are coming tomorrow afternoon to fix TVs. Had breakfast. Put up plant light in fam. room. Took down Halloween decorations. Paid Jay’s house payment. Made out order for Meg’s doll house. Dad didn’t come for lunch. Looked for calendar towel catalog but couldn’t find it. Had a letter from Norm & Sam – they are coming about Wed. I think. Spent rest of day putting stuff away. Cleared off part of kitchen table. Got supper, did dishes, read paper, read voting literature. Watched TV. (Dad forgot to set his clock at the shop so came home an hour early. We put away rest of hoses). To bed at 12:45.

Tuesday, November 2, 1982: ELECTION DAY. [Changed sheets on pink bed while TV men were here] Up at 7:45. Sunny, cold. Couldn’t get to sleep last night. Washed & dressed. Made bed, had breakfast. Dusted our room, cleared off bed, etc., in pink bedroom. Dad didn’t come for lunch. Washed our bedspread, also load of dark colored clo. Dried both loads. Dusted pink room. Couldn’t vacuum because I was afraid I wouldn’t hear TV men if they came. Mattie came from school, was here until about 4:45. TV men finally came about 4:30. Found the aerial wire was unhooked up on the roof on big TV. Vertical board out on small one had to take it in for repair. After they left I went to vote – took quite a while – booths crowded. Got supper, did dishes, listened to election returns, read paper. Cleaned off above stove, worked tables, old refrigerator. Craig won, also Leroy for Lt. Gov. Gov. race still so close don’t know who won when I went to bed at 2:00. Called Roy to wish him Happy Birthday, also Phyllis called Carla, too, to tell her about Sams. Tried to call Paula but no answer.

Wednesday, November 3, 1982: Up at 8:00. Sunny, cold. Changed our bed, vacuumed rug in our room, also pink bedroom; vacuumed living room. Got lunch for Dad. Baked cake, vacuumed kitchen, hall, bath. Then dining room & small bath. Swept out utility area. Got in steaks & thawed them. Scrubbed potatoes. Mattie came about 3:35. Set table. Linda called about 4:30 & Sams came just as she called. We sat & visited till Dad came home. Then he took them down to see the shop & get some gas. I went ahead with supper & then he fixed steaks on grill when they got back. Ate about 6:30. Linda, Ted & kids came over & then Carla came. She was hungry so ate too. Linda, Ted & kids had cake. After they all left we cleared up & I put dishes in dishwasher, then we looked at slides for a while. To bed at 12:00. Slept on the hide-a-bed for first time & it’s kind of hard – not too bad tho’.

Thursday, November 4, 1982: Up at 6:00. Just getting light. Set out juice & glasses. Sams up & getting ready to leave. All had coffee. Left about 7:00. Dad left soon, too, for work. I had breakfast & finished read paper. Was cold last night so didn’t sleep good at all. Was awfully tired & didn’t feel very well. Laid down for a while but couldn’t sleep. Finally got up & started getting stuff ready to go downtown. I made up deposits, paid bills, etc. Dad came home for lunch & I went ahead & got ready. Left about 12:45. Went to Banks, stopped at shop, P.W. Drug, pd. bill at Valley Floral, got groc. Got home about 3:30. Put away groc. (had kind of headache but had a hamburger at Jacks & then it left). Got supper, read paper, then put away good dishes & silver, did dishes, watched TV. To bed at 12:30.

Friday, November 5, 1982: Up at 8:30. Sunny, cold. Warmer in afternoon. Felt better today, really slept good last night. Tel. rang & it was TV repair man – TV ready to bring back so I dressed right away. Cost $89.00 for both so not too bad. Good picture on both sets now. Had breakfast, made bed. Folded up bedding on folding bed & put room back in order. Moved hooked rug wall hanging. Hung new small picture I bought. Looked thru catalogs for Xmas. Washed load of yellow rayons. Dried lace cloth. Got supper, did dishes, read paper. Watched TV. Forgot about pheasant so cleaned it. To bed at 2:00.

Saturday, November 6, 1982: Up at 9:10. Light sun, showers. Not too cold. Dressed, made bed. Vacuumed dining room floor, put table back, put clean table cloth back on, etc. Had breakfast. Went downstairs to wash cat blankets, blankets for fam. rm., sewed a little, cleaned up more of floor, cleaned under bed, cleaned part of ldy. rm., pulled out night stand & found another black widow behind it. Cleaned up cobwebs, etc. Got supper, did dishes. Dried blankets, put white clothes to soak. Put casters on bottom of night stand. Watched TV, looked at catalog, played Old Sol. To bed at 1:00. Called Judy about going out to dinner tomorrow.

Sunday, November 7, 1982: Up at 8:30. Sunny, cold. Got breakfast. Tried to get Paula but no answer. Did dishes. Kept trying but never did get Paula. Took shower & washed hair. Dressed, put up hair. Made bed, washed a load of white clothes. Dried hair & worked x-word. Carla came & helped me finish it. She ate a couple of chicken spread sandwiches – left for home about 4:00. We got ready & went down & picked up Jim’s folks. Went to North’s Chuck Wagon for supper. I thought it was good but Dad said he didn’t care too much for their food – naturally. When we got home, I called Carla – she got home O.K. Then looked at catalogs, made out orders, etc. Watched TV. Started getting a cold. To bed at 12:45.

Monday, November 8, 1982: Up at 8:30. Sunny, cold. Have a real cold coming on. Dressed, had breakfast. Made bed. Went out to work – cut tops off peonies, dug glad bulbs, moved one peony. Put away fence, covered swing & lawn mower. Put plastic covers on metal lawn chairs & B-B-Q. Got lunch, put meat on to cook for supper. Wrote to Elaine & sent Ida’s belt. Laid down for a little while. Finished up supper. Did dishes, read paper. Called Paula & talked to Linda during day. Watched TV. To bed at 12:45.

Tuesday, November 9, 1982: Up at 9:15. Cloudy, not too cold. Didn’t sleep very well last night, cold bothering me. Had breakfast, didn’t even get dressed. Took some Vicks Day Care & seemed to help. Looked at catalogs, etc., ordered calendar towels. Got lunch, cleared table, talked to Linda. Finally decided to get washed & dressed, made bed. Got supper, did dishes, read paper. Watched TV. Dried some clothes. To bed at 1:00.

Wednesday, November 10, 1982: Up at 8:45. Cloudy, not very cold, started snowing about 10 and snowed most of the day but melted right away. Still don’t feel very well with my cold. Got more orders ready, paid a bill, made bed, talked to Linda, Dad went to Boise with Paul so didn’t come for lunch. Washed colored rayons, worked on Jay’s room. Got supper, did dishes, read paper. Linda stopped & did checks about 8:30. Watched TV. To bed about 1:00.

Thursday, November 11, 1982: VETERAN’S DAY Up at 9:00. Sunny, cold. Didn’t go downtown because of the holiday, will have to go tomorrow. Washed & dressed. Had breakfast, made bed. Worked on rest of Xmas orders. Got lunch, washed load of rayons, sewed, fixed Carla’s jeans. Dried part of clothes. Got supper, did dishes, read paper. Got deposits ready. Watched TV. To bed at 1:00.

Friday, November 12, 1982: Sunny later on but wind was cold. Up at 8:30. Cloudy, cold. Washed & dressed. Talked to Linda. Made bed, had breakfast. Got rest of stuff ready to go downtown. Left about 11:00. Went to Bank, pd. water bill, went to P.W. Drug, to Kings, Albertsons for groc. Got gas, stopped at shop (Dad wasn’t there) went to Super Save, then out to Benj. Franklin & Ernsts. Stopped at shop again, then home about 3:30. Put away groc., dried clothes, got supper. Did dishes, read paper. Washed bedspread off pink bed – Sam threw up on it this morning. Watched TV. To bed at 1:30. Also got gas & gas gauge stuck.

Saturday, November 13, 1982: Up at 9:30. Sunny, cold. Dressed, washed load of colored clothes, ironed some clothes & pressed drapes. Had breakfast. Went down to shop & put up curtain rods. Hung one drape (forgot rings so couldn’t hang rest). Swept down cobwebs from ceilings & walls. Cleaned toilets, etc. Need cleanser for sinks. Just finished & getting ready to leave when Dad came. He had gone fishing. When we got home I fixed supper, cooked one of the fish he caught. Did dishes, dried part of clothes, watched TV. Played Old Sol. To bed at 12:30.

Sunday, November 14, 1982: Up at 9:10. Sunny, cold & frosty. Nice during the day. Got breakfast, cleared table. Took shower, washed & put up hair. Made bed, wound clock, dried hair & worked x-word. Dried rest of clothes in dryer. Made jello for supper; got in pheasant. Went down to shop & hung other drape – Dad wouldn’t let me hang those in show room. Cleaned sinks, vacuumed floors, dusted, started to clean carpet, got about ½ done & sweeper wouldn’t work. Don’t know what’s wrong with it. When we got home, got supper; pheasant was really good. Did dishes, read paper, watched TV. To bed at 12:45.

Monday, November 15, 1982: Up at 8:20. Sunny, cold & frosty. Dressed, made bed. Had breakfast. Put hankies to soak. Started working on books – adding machine ran out of tape & still not adding right so had quite a time. Dad didn’t come for lunch. Had him bring home tape for adding machine. Got supper, did dishes, finished up books – finally got them to come out right – all except sales tax. Have to ask Dad about some Cash Sales. Read paper, watched TV. To bed at 12:45.

Tuesday, November 16, 1982: Up at 8:45. Light sun, frosty, cold. Missed the garbage man. Started to cloud over about 10:00 & started to rain mid afternoon – just a light drizzle. Washed, dressed, made bed. Had breakfast. Watered flowers. Went out & put up N. storm window in garage. Fixed S. one & put it up; put away screens. Got lunch. Cleared table. Finished up Sales Tax figures & put away adding mach., etc. Washed & dried hankies & folded, put away. Put load of whites to soak. Cut out pair of pants & top for Meg for Brownies. Got supper, did dishes, read paper. Pinned pants & top together. Watched TV. To bed at 1:45.

Wednesday, November 17, 1982: Up at 9:00. Cloudy, wet, not so cold. Rained all morning. Dressed, had breakfast. Made bed. Tried vacuum but it still won’t run. Good thing I got the new one. Talked to Linda. Got lunch. Ted got the car to have it serviced. Cleared table & planted new plants in terrarium. Looked through Kings & P.W. Drug circulars. Cut up & washed chicken for supper. Matt came over & later on Megan. Made cherry cobbler for dessert. Kids went home at 5:00. Finished supper, did dishes, read part of paper. Washed load of white clothes, made up deposit. To bed at 12:45.

Thursday, November 18, 1982: Up at 8:00. Cloudy, raining, not too cold. Washed & dressed, got ready to go downtown. Had coffee, juice & roll. Made bed, dried clothes in washer, left for town about 11:30. Went to Banks (4), bookkeeper, P.W. Drug (got more Xmas gifts), ate at Red Steer. Got groc., picked up Meg at school, then to Kings, MW & Sears for orders, then home about 4:00. When I got home, put away groc., etc. Got supper, Matt & Megan came. Linda & Ted came shortly after we ate. I cleared table, then did dishes after they left. Read part of paper, watched TV. Sam caught a mouse in family room and I made her take it outside & she lost it. Now it will probably be in garage! To bed at 12:25.

Friday, November 19, 1982: Up at 8:30. Light clouds, not too cold. Sun came out in afternoon & was nice. Dressed, changed our bed, had breakfast. Started cleaning in living room. Had to use new Hoover because the other sweeper still not fixed. Works pretty good. Got lunch, cleared table & did dishes. Vacuumed kitchen, hall, cleaned pink bath. Ran dishwasher. Cleaned Dad’s shoes; they were a mess. Got supper, did dishes. Read paper, watched TV. Carla called, guess she won’t be over Sun. Talked to Cindy, Mike & Nancy. To bed at 1:00.

Saturday, November 20, 1982: Up at 8:30. Sunny, frosty & cold. Ice on car windows, etc. Guess it had rained & frozen. Washed & dressed, made bed, got ready to take sweeper to Boise. Linda & Matt went along – Megan stayed with Nicole all night so didn’t go along. Stopped at Electrolux, then to Great Western. Got Pac-Man for Mike. Went to College Library & found Carla – had lunch at Big Boy – then took her back. Went up to Paula & Jim’s & they were home so stayed quite a while. Matt & Jim played games on Intellivision. Called Dad. Paula gave us a pc. of pie – very good. Black bottom. We left for home & stopped at Karcher on our way. Got home about 5:00. Dad wouldn’t speak to me. Got supper, did dishes, read paper, played Old Sol, watched TV. To bed at 1:00.

Sunday, November 21, 1982: Up at 8:30. Cloudy, cold. Sunny off & on during day. Got breakfast. Cleared table. Took shower, washed & put up hair, dressed. Made bed, wound clock. Dried hair & worked x-word. Read papers & took short nap. Wrapped birthday presents & got box ready to mail. Got supper, did dishes. Read papers, watched TV. To bed at 12:35.

Monday, November 22, 1982: Up at 9:00. Sunny, frosty, cold. Dressed, had breakfast, made bed. Paula called & Jim’s Dad had a bad spell last night & is in hospital again. She had to go to work but he took the day off & came over to see his Dad. I talked to Linda. Went out & cleared stuff away from oil tanks. Got some boxes & started getting Xmas presents ready. Got lunch, cleared up dishes. Sam caught another mouse but lost it in dining room so I went over to Linda’s and got a trap. Buried fish heads under roses. Shoveled rocks, etc., from front of oil barrels. Got supper, did dishes. Read paper, watched TV. Set mouse trap. To bed at 1:00.

Tuesday, November 23, 1982: Up at 8:40. Sunny, frosty. Dad gone fishing today. Didn’t catch my mouse last night. Washed & dressed, had breakfast. Got stuff ready & went downtown. Went to Blood drawing, Albertsons for groc., to 88c store, then to bookkeeper & home. When I got home, realized I forgot to mail Mike’s pkg. so had to go back down. Put away groc., made bed, then cleaned in fam. rm. Got supper (Dad home from fishing when I came home from town 1st time – Res. froze over so they couldn’t fish). Got supper, did dishes, read paper, paid Sales Tax & S.W.T. Vacuumed part of kitchen & shampooed carpet. Will do rest tomorrow night. Watched TV. To bed at 12:40.

Wednesday, November 24, 1982: Up at 8:10. Sunny, cold & frosty. Dressed, made bed, dusted & vacuumed bedrooms. Had breakfast, cleaned new bath, got lunch, rinsed dishes, cleaned turkey. Cleaned back porch areas. Vacuumed living room, hall, lge. bath and dining room. Got supper & just as we were getting ready to eat, Paula came so she ate with us. Jim came later & they went back down to the hospital. Jim’s Dad a little better this eve. After they left I baked pumpkin pies, finished up dishes, vacuumed & shampooed rest of kitchen floor & through dining room. Read paper, watched TV. To bed at 12:45.

Thursday, November 25, 1982: THANKSGIVING Up at 8:30. Sunny, cold & frosty. Fixed breakfast. Made dressing & got turkey in oven about 11:00. Made cranberry sauce. Washed & dressed, made bed. Vacuumed kitchen & dining room floors, put away sweeper & shampooer. Carla & Bill came & she fixed her relish tray. I fixed cheese, meat & cracker tray. Paula & Judy came and we visited a while. Then fixed table, cooked beans & potatoes. Turkey done about 4:00 so Paula went down & got Jim & we ate. Everything real good – Linda’s salad and pumpkin dessert and Paula’s cocoanut cream pie. Mattie read some poems to us & really were funny. Cleaned up table, I emptied dishwasher & put in one load. Jim went back down to hospital and then later Carla took Paula & Judy down. Carla & Bill left about 7:00. I finished working on dishes & kitchen. Paula & Jim came back from hosp. They & Lindas left about 9:30. I worked some more, read paper, watched TV. To bed at 1:00.

Friday, November 26, 1982: Up at 9:00. Sunny, cold & frosty. Clouded over by evening. Dressed, had breakfast. Made bed, vacuumed living room & kitchen. Talked to Linda. Got lunch, rinsed dishes. Paula came for a little while. I cleaned off turkey carcass, washed rugs. Put away dishes & silver. Moved chest & dressing table in pink bedroom. Got supper, did dishes, read paper, watched TV. Wrapped Xmas gifts. To bed at 1:40.

Saturday, November 27, 1982: Up at 9:30. Cloudy, not quite so cold. Cleared up & sun came out but clouded over again in P.M. Dressed, made bed. Put away rest of dishes & silver. Wrapped more gifts. Dried rugs. Talked to Linda. Got supper, did dishes. Wrapped more gifts. Played Old Sol. Started working on books – sorted tickets & entered R.O.As. Watched TV. To bed at 1:00.

Sunday, November 28, 1982: Up at 9:00. Sunny, not too cold. Rained during night. Got breakfast, cleared table. Made bed, wound clock. Jay called & Cindy wanted to talk to me to thank me for her present. She’s a little doll. I took shower & washed & put up my hair, then dried hair & worked x-word. Took a little nap. Talked to Judy & Eddie did get to come home Sat. & is feeling pretty good. Got supper, did dishes, watched TV. Entered charges in book – lots of them. To bed at 12:35. Beat Old Sol 4 ways tonight.

Monday, November 29, 1982: Up at 9:00. Cloudy, raining, not very cold. Cleared up for a little & then clouded over again. Dressed, had breakfast, made bed. Sent orders for jewelry, pd. Statesman & Jay’s house payment. Got order ready for R&R. Washed work clothes. Cleaned some more in Jay’s old room – Linda helped me lift down TV & I put casters on big chest of drawers. Still have more to do – clean off bed, wash bedspread, cover hole in ceiling, etc. Dried work clothes. Got supper, did dishes. Entered more charges in book, started writing statements – didn’t quite get finished. Read paper, watched TV. Little mouse scared me – came out of am. oven & went in living room & I couldn’t catch him. To bed at 1:15. Dad went to Boise so I didn’t have to get lunch.

Tuesday, November 30, 1982: Up at 8:50. Cloudy, not very cold. Rained some during the day. Dressed, made bed. Had breakfast, finished writing up statements. Got lunch, did dishes. Hung up work clothes. Finished order to Rainbow Gifts. Sorted last month’s invoices. Talked to Linda, made appt. with Rettig. Got supper, did dishes. Read paper, got order ready for Spencer Gifts – 88c items. Watched TV. To bed at 1:00. Washed dark colored load. Worked on doll house – going to be a big job – hope I get it done by Christmas.
